What is the ideal group size?
The bays can handle groups of up to 8 people. If you are playing a course we recommend groups of 4 people. If you have a larger group we recommend longest drive or closest to the pin contests.
How long does it take to play 18 holes on the simulator?
One person can play 18 holes in an hour. Two people will take 1.5 - 2 hours. A rule of thumb is 30 minutes in the simulator is comparable to 90 minutes on the course.
Do I need to bring my own golf clubs?
If you have your own clubs, we recommend bringing them. If you don't, we have right-handed and left-handed clubs available at no charge, plus two sizes of kids' clubs.
Can I use a golf simulator if I've never golfed before?
Absolutely. The TrackMan simulator is great for beginners — it shows you exactly what the ball is doing so you can learn fast. No golf experience needed, and there's no dress code or etiquette to worry about. Just show up and swing.
Do I need to book in advance or can I walk in?
Yes, you need to book in advance online. InPlay is an unmanned facility, so there are no walk-ins. You can book your bay at booking.trackmangolf.com.
Is the golf simulator open year-round?
Yes. InPlay is open 24/7, 365 days a year. Rain, snow, or 95°F — you're always playing in a climate-controlled facility. It's one of the biggest advantages of indoor golf in the Pacific Northwest.
Can I host a birthday party or corporate event at InPlay?
Yes. The bays work great for birthday parties, team outings, bachelor parties, and corporate events. At $45/hour for up to 8 people per bay, it's one of the most affordable group activities in Whatcom County. Find more information on our Private Events page.
